Abstract

In this abstract, we are going to address security requirements of medical monitoring by using medical sensor networks and proposed a secure prototype called Secure medical Monitoring (SMM) using wireless sensor networks. Secure medical monitoring provides security services which includes interuptation of patients data on low cost, confidentiality, liability. For confidentiality PingPong-128 stream cipher is used. Authenticity and data integrity is achieved by PingPong-MAC (Message Authentication Code). When evaluated with a real-time prototype with ECG and triaxial accelerometer sensors on Telos-mode , the proposed secure framework and our results to confirm their feasibility.
