Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) composed with various sensor nodes such as cameras, microphones, and sensors producing both scalar and multimedia content scattered in a geographical area. A sink or multiple sinks collect information from sensor nodes and transmitting it through wireless channels. The data transmission requires an un-interrupted power, greater bandwidth, huge memory, and low latency. In the present context routing of data with energy dearth sensor nodes is a big challenging issue of WSN. To route large data over a network, distinguished routing protocols with the attributes of efficiently handling bandwidth, power resource as well as low latency are necessary. In this paper on demand / reactive routing protocols of WSN technologies are surveyed, analyzed and compared with simulated one of its AODV routing protocol (Adhoc on Demand Distance Vector Routing protocol).
AODV, QoS, Scalar data, Multimedia data, Zigbee and WiFi.
