Abstract

Small scale businesses get services from the cloud to run their workload. These services are provided with quality of service by the hosting centers. It is a critical task to provide maximum profit by minimizing the energy consumed because of two reasons: 1) resource heterogeneity that is energy consumption varies on allocated resources and 2) lack of energy proportionality that is energy cost varies on server utilization a self organizing cloud is been proposed in this paper which provides a unified framework for profit maximization with fault tolerance.

Keywords

Resource allocation, network flow, data center, hosting center, clouds, energy proportionality.
